The organisation supports international development projects and works nationally and in the local communities within 650 churches and community centres throughout the UK and Ireland.
Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:
In this role, you will support the local community by creating a welcoming and supportive environment for families, helping them connect and engage with their community. As a Parent and Toddler Group Helper, you will develop various skills such as event coordination, communication, and interacting with diverse individuals, which can be valuable in personal and professional contexts.
Typical duties include:
- Attending Parent and Toddler Group sessions to provide consistent support and build rapport with attendees
- Assisting in setting up the venue for group activities ensuring resources are ready for use
- Helping to organise and serve refreshments for parents and toddlers during group sessions
- Engaging toddlers in arts and crafts activities, providing creative outlets that stimulate their development and imagination
Please note, this role requires a DBS check and two references; the organisation would like you to commit to a minimum of 3 months.
