The Royal Society for Blind Children is a charity providing a range of services in London and across England and Wales for blind and partially sighted children and young people and their families. The organisation enables blind and partially-sighted people to develop the skills they need to overcome the barriers to realising their hopes, dreams, and ambitions. 

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

In this role, you can choose between promoting RSBC’s through schools, local clubs, community groups, or workplaces or raising vital funds to support their work through your own online or in-person fundraising campaign or challenge. As a Community Volunteer, you will enhance a set of skills such as creativity, event planning, fundraising, and empathy. 

Typical duties include:

  • Sharing RSBC news with people you know and on social media
  • Recruiting more volunteers and supporters for RSBC 
  • Organising a coffee morning, bake-off competition, or an online sale of hand-made crafts
  • Completing a personal challenge to raise funds

Please note, this role requires a DBS check and the organisation would like you to commit to a minimum of 3 months.
