Summary
I am a mathematician, educator, and a data science & machine learning enthusiast. Currently, I serve as a member of the EPSRC Mathematical Sciences Early Career Forum.
My academic journey includes a tenure as a Junior Visitor in Dynamical Systems at the Centro De Giorgi, Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa, Italy. I also held a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Toronto, Canada, where I conducted research in chaotic dynamics and stochastics, expanding my expertise into inferential statistics and machine learning.
Beyond my research, I am deeply engaged with the mathematical community. I have actively contributed to several outreach projects across Canada, Sri Lanka, and the United States, aiming to inspire and educate the next generation of mathematicians.
Qualifications
- PhD in Mathematics, University of Maryland Dissertation: Higher Order Asymptotics for the Central Limit Theorem and Large Deviation Principles.
- BSc in Mathematics, University of Colombo
