Mr Philipp Bibik
Associate Lecturer (Education) in Computer Science
Summary
Phil Bibik is an Associate Lecturer and Doctoral Researcher @ Dept. of CompSci in Ã÷ÐÇ°ËØÔ, with a research focus on AI safety and robustness.
Previously he completed his CompSci undergrad at Ã÷ÐÇ°ËØÔ, receiving the University Prize for achieving the highest grades in his class.
His current research interests / prior work are:
- The primary focus of his current research is in exploring alignment failures from safety fine-tuning LLMs through Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF)
- Bioinformatics, where he collaborated with the Computational Biology group:
- to created the PyCoM database: —a public, queriable database of annotated proteins along with derived coevolution matrices
- additionally, exploration of positional, rather than sequential k-mer sequences in proteins to predict stability
- Zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs; in particular their uses for Proof of Personhood (PoP) protocols and anonymized blockchains (à la Monero)
