What are Doctoral Training Partnerships (DTPs)? Doctoral Training Partnerships are multi-institutional partnerships designed to train the next generation of world-class researchers. They provide funding for innovative training environments of doctoral studies to either individual universities, or a group of universities. As a Doctoral Training Partnership student you will benefit from: a community of other excellent students from across all participating institutions a stipend and your fees paid collaborations from leading researchers and world-class research centres a specialised programme of training led by the Doctoral Training Programme partners a chance to collaborate with an organisation from business or industry help with costs like research materials and conference travel PhD studentships for Home, EU and International students Who can apply for a Doctoral Training Partnership? From 21/22 onwards, studentships supported by the United Kingdom Research and Innovation are open to Home, EU and International students. Students must reside in the UK during their studies to receive United Kingdom Research and Innovation funding The studentships are highly competitive with two stages of selection: first selection at Ã÷ÐÇ°ËØÔ and then the second stage at the Doctoral Training Partnership level Applicants are normally expected to hold a Masters degree and a minimum IELTS 7 for international students What will you receive if you’re successful? Fees Full fees at the current home rate for the length of the studentship, irrespective of your fee status. Ã÷ÐÇ°ËØÔ has waived the difference between Home and International fee level so that International students will not be charged the difference. Stipend A stipend including London Weighting: £17,609 per year as at 21/22 academic year How to apply? My PhD research proposal underwent in-depth evaluations, both by the DTP's panel of experts and my supervisors, which were invaluable in helping me to reach an advanced level of critical thinking, reflection and innovation in my work. Throughout the experience, my DTP administrator at Ã÷ÐÇ°ËØÔ was always on hand to answer any questions, and kept me well-informed about the status of my application.
