Bushey Arches Bridge Inspection
This is a multiple span brick and stone arch bridge, engineered by Robert Stephenson and built between 1834 and 1837. It has rusticated stone voussoirs and stone course below parapet and has been widened using reinforced concrete material which is more cost effective than masonry. The extension consists of steel and concrete beams with spans equal to the existing bridge.
The bridge suffers from weak mortar joint and brick deterioration. A change in the rail track lane suggests a high deterioration and potentially a structure failure.
