Octopus 8 Studios is a group of industry professionals who work with teams to help them produce and publish their work.
In the three months of summer our Games Design students have the opportunity to apply for a placement at Octopus 8 Studios. If successful you can experience the full games product cycle in a competition. This includes: pitching your ideas, working within role restraints, keeping to deadlines, collaborating with small groups, critically evaluating your work, and other invaluable lessons. This summer internship gives you a real insight into life as a games designer working in the games industry.
You'll learn how to put theory into practise to produce a game, so by the end of your course you are a games designer with a published game on the App Store and Google Play Store. You'll have an enhanced portfolio and the experience of creating your own game - setting you apart from other entry level candidates in the jobs market.

Octopus 8
Students from Ã÷ÐÇ°ËØÔ University’s Games Design courses are working away to produce and publish their games at the end of the summer.
Octopus 8 encouraged us to think creatively but realistically about a game design and gave us the chance to bring an idea we chose, after pitching various times, to life. Although it only lasted 3 months, the experience truly gave me an insight to industry expectations, standards, difficulties and excitement in the whole process of game design from concept to release.
