Professor - Electronic & Computer Engineering

Howell Building 211

Research area(s)

Professor Nandi works in a range of research areas. His theoretical and algorithmic developments are in signal processing and machine learning, while his applied contributions are to be found in wireless communications (automatic modulation recognition, equalization, etc.), biomedical signal processing (breast cancer detection, electrocardiogram extraction, retinal image processing, etc.), machine condition monitoring, image forensics, time series predictions, genomic signal processing (gene clustering), and brain signal processing (music, electroencephalogram, and functional magnetic resonance imaging data processing). Big Data is very much a theme of his research interests.

Professor Nandi’s research interests can be captured in information engineering. He has published over 220 papers in refereed international journals (total: 550 technical papers) with an h-index of 67 (all citation figures are from Google Scholar).
