Maryam Mohd S B Majareh - Maryam is exploring Sustainable Digital Transformation and Innovation in the Qatari Public Sector

Past Members

Past members of my team, whom I have supervised on exciting projects as part of their PhD and postdoc studies, include:

Dr Stephen Gulliver (PhD, 2003) - Stephen explored the wys<> wyg relation in multimedia applications using the Quality of Perception metric. Stephen and I were the first persons to use eye-tracking to explore perceptual multimedia quality and to apply eye tracking in the assessment of continuous media.

Dr Tacha Serif (PhD, 2004) - Tacha used the Quality of Perception metric to explore the user infotainment experience across multiple access devices in his PhD. We then subsequently explored the use of PDAs for pervasive clinical data collection.

Dr Oyindamola Abass (PhD, 2007) - Oyinda integrated the use of original strategies incorporating confidence traits in e-negotiations.

Dr Oluwakemi Ademoye (PhD, 2008) - Kemi’s innovative work focused on the use of the Quality of Perception metric to explore the user experience of olfaction-enhanced multimedia.

Dr Elisabeth Enabulele (PhD, 2008) - Elisabeth enlarged the concept of quality in broadband applications through a multi-stakeholder perspective.

Dr Elahe Kani (PhD, 2008) - Elahe’s PhD focused on the implications of employing user-centred design strategies in media-rich digital libraries.

Dr Kunle Olowe (PhD, 2009) - Kunle used the Quality of Perception metric to explore the user infotainment experience of packet-based voice quality in communication networks

Dr Adel Almohammed (PhD, 2010) - Adel explored novel and efficient ways of using steganography in both images and video media content

Dr Fotis Spyridonis (PhD, 2012) - Fotis studyied the use of 3D visualization techniques for real-time, ubiquitous, data collection in telemedicine.

Dr Bachar Alrouh (PhD, 2012) - Bachar’s research focused on web services security and the computational overheads involved in adding extra such functionality to distributed systems

Dr Mubarak Alkhrang (PhD, 2012) - Mubarak’s work investigated e-learning adoption in Kuwait

Dr Mathias Kretschmer (PhD, 2012) - Mathias looked at seamless integration of Broadcast technologies such as Digital Video Broadcast (DVB) to introduce support for high-bandwidth multimedia services.
