Summary

John serves as the Vice Dean International for the College of Health, Medicine & Life Sciences at Ã÷ÐÇ°ËØÔ. His key responsibilities encompass internationalising academic activities, fostering international partnerships, and enhancing staff and student mobility. Reporting to the Executive Dean of College, John strategically develops international research and education, ensuring alignment with the College's and the university's broader goals. He chairs the College International Strategy Group and represents the College’s strategic priorities on various University committees and groups. In these roles, he collaborates closely with academic teams to implement international strategies and represents the university in international engagements.

In addition to his international focus, John plays a pivotal role in developing education that supports workforce development in healthcare systems. He collaborates with healthcare organisations, professional bodies, and regulators both in the UK and internationally to design and develop education programmes with meaningful impact on local healthcare services. His educational initiatives have had a positive influence on healthcare systems in various regions, including China, North America, India, Africa and South East Asia.
