What Support is Available?

There is plenty of support all over campus for so many different issues; there is no need to suffer in silence! Whether it’s a support service or a personal tutoring session with an academic,  staff will help you where they can. When it comes to specific academic queries, the academic staff you associate with, taught programmes officer, or your personal tutor would potentially be the best people to speak to. Here are additional services that can help you:

  • - Offering support in maths and numeracy; statistics and SPSS; as well as academic writing and study skills. ASK provides workshops, resources and individual advice to help you to develop your academic skills.
  • Library - Each college is allocated a subject liaison librarian to support students with accessing and using resources and with referencing and plagiarism. Watch the SLL introductory to find out more.
  • Professional Development Centre - Job Shop, placement and career assistance, provide you with key skills for employability.
  • - Offers a range of opportunities, from sports clubs to student reps, to aid your personal development outside of your academic course.
  • Ã÷ÐÇ°ËØÔ Language Centre - the Language Centre’s in-sessional programme provided by Ã÷ÐÇ°ËØÔ International provides expert language and study skills support for international students.
  • Chaplaincy - The Chaplaincy is both a place and a team of people that offer opportunities for students and staff to unwind and to explore faith and spirituality.
