  • Physiotherapy
  • Physiotherapy and Physician Associate

Research area(s)

I am interested in understanding and measuring changes to sensorimotor senses of the upper limbs, specifically proprioception. My recent work has focused on the development and psychometric testing of proprioceptive outcome measures, notably the Upper Limb Proprioception Reaching Test (PRO-Reach).

I am also deeply interested in investigating how the gut microbiome influences the progression and severity of rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases through its role in systemic inflammation and immune modulation.

Research Interests

  • Upper limb proprioception
  • Upper limb neuromuscular training programs for individuals affected by shoulder dysfunctions
  • The gut-joint axis (gut microbiome and joint health)
  • Factors that influence ethical decision-making in physiotherapy
  • Gender equality and social inclusion awareness training for rehabilitation professionals
  • Accessibility to rehabilitative care
